Laodikeia Turkey

The ancient city of Laodicea in the province of Denizli was in the 1st century BC. BC One of the most famous and important Anatolian cities. In addition to the numerous ancient buildings that still exist, Laodicea is unique to Christianity as it is home to one of the seven churches in Asia Minor.

Architecturally rich in theaters, stadiums, gymnasiums, government buildings, the Temple of Zeus and churches, Laodicea illuminates the lives of its citizens through inscriptions and coins. An earthquake in 194 AD completely destroyed the city.
